Swift Water Safety Training Course Coming up in May!

Rescue Canada is Offering a Level 3 Swift Water Safety Training Course

Dates:  April 30-May 2nd, 2021

Location: Chilliwack, B.C.

Do you need to perform as a competent and qualified water rescue responder?  Are you seeking certification to work in ‘medium to high risk environments’?  If you answered yes, then this is your course!

In this course student candidates will be trained from simple to complex systems. With an emphasis on on third party rescues in moving water. The skillsets provided in this course  are  performed beyond the previously taught courses in the pre-requisites courses: Stages E, 1 and 2.

Student candidates will be swimming in Class 2-3 whitewater. Student Candidates will be assessed on performing contact rescues. The course training scenarios are designed to prepare the student candidate for course compliance, conformity to industry standards and the pathway for future success working within their assigned risk level.

Pre-Requisite: E-learning module, Swift Water Safety Awareness (A)

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):  Wetsuit or drysuit with thermal undergarments, water helmet, water whistle, gloves, foot protection, Personal Flotation Device (PFD), minimum 100 Newtons, 22.48 pounds or 10kg or buoyancy.

PPE Rental:  If you need to rent PPE we can help you with that!  We offer high quality PPE for our students to wear during their training courses.

Qualification:  Successful course completion certificate is valid for a period of 3 years.
