This course is designed for high-risk river environments. Prior boat training and experience is a pre-requisite. A Boat level 3 technician boat certificate and Swiftwater Safety Rescue Level 3 certificates are required. As the class 4/5 river environment requires must-make moves, knowledge of reading water and boat characteristics are necessary. This course is designed to prepare students to navigate and mitigate risk in a fast-paced setting. This course can also have different modules added such as night searches, rope techniques, and rescue swimmer. This is a three-day practical course, extra time may be needed depending on which modules are requested or required.
