Course Overview

This course is designed for working in a static water environment but will include awareness of the increased risk and challenges in moving water. The online awareness course will be included as a prerequisite. This course is designed to be completed in one 8-hour day of practical training. Participants will be expected to have a background in Auto Extrication prior to participating in this course.

Course Details

Working in a static water environment, the practical objectives of this course are to:

  • Establish a command structure
  • Access the vehicle
  • Stabilize the vehicle in place
  • Extricate the subjects from the partly submerged vehicle
  • Transport the subjects back to shore OR remove the submerged vehicle from the water
