Logie McLagan

Logie and Erin McLagan are the proud owners of Rescue Canada Resource Group, continuing a legacy of professional rescue training and water safety education across Canada. In May 2025, the couple purchased the company with a shared vision of expanding high-quality rescue training while preserving the strong reputation the organization has built within the emergency services community.

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Logie has spent most of his life on and around the water. His passion for whitewater and boating began at a young age and ultimately grew into a career dedicated to river safety and rescue training. Prior to acquiring Rescue Canada Resource Group, Logie owned and operated Hyak River Rafting, a respected rafting company that served the Fraser Canyon region until it was tragically destroyed in the Lytton wildfires of 2021.

Logie has been involved with Rescue Canada since 2006 and is widely recognized for his depth of experience and instructional ability. He is a Master Instructor in Swiftwater, Ice, and Boat Rescue, with a particular specialty in Boat Safety and Rescue Training (BSRT). Known for his hands-on teaching style and real-world experience, Logie has trained countless fire departments, search and rescue teams, and emergency responders across the country. Outside of teaching, Logie enjoys boating, whitewater rafting, woodworking, and riding his motorcycle. He is also a trained contractor and enjoys building and working with his hands when he’s not on the water.
